Vitasure Absorbable Hemostat - Technical Specifications
Vitasure Absorbable Hemostat is a natural material, synthesized from purified plant starch. As such, it is non-toxic,non-irritating, non-hemolytic, and non-immunogenic. Vitasure Absorbable Hemostat is a fully biocompatible material and is readily absorbed in 24 to 48 hours. Unlike other hemostats that continue to swell after application, the Vitasure particles reach their maximum volume immediately upon contact with blood or other fluids. Vitasure Absorbable Hemostat has been studied and determined to be safe when used in conjunction with a Cell Saver® device1.
